GENDER EQUALITY
Jenna Clifford supports men and women and celebrates both genders on an equal frontier. Artist-Jeweller Jenna Clifford has been an energetic women empowerment activist and speaker for many years and was recently appointed as a torch bearer for the Millennium Development Goals 3 - 2015 campaign for women empowerment and gender equality – together with the eminent Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Soweto Gospel Choir. This appointment is monumental and we aim to exercise it to its full potential as a tool for the upliftment and empowerment of women and children to the best of our ability!
“As a Dream Big and Gender Equality ambassador for Jenna Clifford, my message to all South Africans, particularly the youth, is to always have a dream and to play hard, but most importantly, to play fair. We are all equal beings and we should have respect for one another – and this, to me, is the overriding theme of gender equality. Equality of genders is instrumental in reducing crime and pverty; promoting sustainable development and creating a loving, safe and prosperous nation. Gender equality is more than an ideal moral value, its application is essential for meeting the challenges faced not by South Africans, but by the entire world.” – Ryk Neethling, Olympic Gold Medallist
